amon Davila, president of the Association of Residential Tourism and Sports in Andalusia, has participated with other members of the Board on the ‘German Technical Seminar on Tourism’, which was held in Santa Petri. A meeting organized by the Andalusia Tourism and Sports, attended by over a hundred people, including professionals and tourism operators, and representatives of German operators.
Tourism sectors were discussed during the conference for professionals, which also took place the exchange of issues with German tour operators.
In this sense, the above is of great interest to the Andalusia tourism sector, because the German economy in 2010 had a GDP growth of 3.6%, an increase of 18.5% in exports and 9.2 % in industrial production, all of which translates into the possibility of increasing the transmission capacity of tourists.
Do not forget that Spain, with 13% share, is the Mediterranean country with the highest demand of German tourists and along with Italy and Austria are the most popular destinations for Germans. The elections are still sun and sand, premises chosen by German tourists, representing 40% of the total. While nature tourism is 22% and 14% active.
German tour operators now expect to reach record highs this year, surpassing the results obtained in 2010 from 40 million customers and 21.3 billion Euros in revenues. For its part, PROMOTUR has made a positive assessment of the strategies and actions from Truism Andale are being carried out in the past year to strengthen partnerships with agencies and German tour operators, including the technical conference with the aim of strengthening the competitive position of Andalusia to the booming German tourism.
