Imagine a place with many waterfalls, surrounded by a dense and intact rainforest, inhabited by monkeys, birds and butterflies. Now imagine yourself bathing in the warm waters of the falls.
This is your day President Figured; a city located just over 100 kilometers from Manaus, who was born with a natural vocation for tourism.
President Figured was, until recently, only a village located near the highway BR-174 which was established as a result of a project to build the power plant of Bambina. The current easy access routes done previously dried has shown the world the beauty of its rivers and waterfalls. The Jungle caves and rivers are great, but the waterfalls are the true meaning of the tourist attraction.
We started our trip in the Cascades of the Ararat and Raceme. The fall of Raceme is a long and strong followed by a rapid cascade where people of all ages can cool off and play. After taking a small path along the River Uruguay we reached the falls in Ararat, a small group of waterfalls in a jungle so dense that badly you get to see sunlight, even on clear days. Another good option is Uruguay River rapids, located next to the city, where you can play and rest in the dark waters.
We can find several beautiful waterfalls, but definitely Faraday Stone Sanctuary and should receive special attention. In Sanctuary, the waters falling from different rocks, creating a wonderful lake in the jungle heat. In the Stone Faraday, the water falls from two different holes made in the stones, thus becoming a natural bath for tourists.
However, President Figured is not only waterfalls. The cave is a maze of Marriage 500m with beautiful formations and thousands of sticks fork. For those who like adventures is a good choice.
